What to do if you need to make a claim?

Firstly do not delay in reporting a claim to either ourselves or your insurers. It is a policy condition that all claims are reported promptly. Failure to report a claim promptly may result in your Insurers repudiating your claim.

Motor Claims (including Taxis)

For all motor claims please contact the Carpol Insurance Priorty Motor Claim Helpline administered by Kindertons Accident Management on
08454 810 320 in the first instance and further details and assistance will be provided on making a claim. 

 

Household / Landlords / Property Owners Claims

 For all landlords and property owners claims please contact Carpol Insurance on
020 8579 9320 in the first instance and further details and assistance will be provided on making a claim. Outside of normal office hours, please refer to your policy book for claims information and procedures. Once you have reported the claim to us, you will be asked to complete a claim form (see link below) and submit the form to us along with two estimates for repairs. These forms can be faxed to us on 020 8932 4214 or emailed to us at info@carpolinsurance.co.uk  or sent in the post to us.

 

Travel Claims

If you have a policy with Fortis and are in the UK or have returned from your trip please report all Travel Insurance Claims directly to Fortis Insurance on 0845 1223280, quoting your policy number which can be found on your policy schedule. If you are outside of the UK and need emergency medical treatment please call Assistance International 24 hours a day on +442380644633, advising them that you have a Fortis Travel Insurance policy. Please also quote your policy number which can be found on your policy schedule. If you have a Travel Policy with any of our other providers then please refer to your policy booklet or call us on 020 8579 9320

 

Business / Liability & Professional Indemnity Claims

For all business / liability / professional indemnity claims please contact Carpol Insurance on 020 8579 9320 in the first instance and further details and assistance will be provided on making a claim. Outside of normal office hours, please refer to your policy book for claims information and procedures.

  

INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING A CLAIM.

1. Claims for buildings and property capable of being repaired must be supported by two Tradesmen’s estimates obtained at the policyholder’s own expense. Emergency repairs to prevent further damage may be carried out immediately.

2. Damaged property should not be disposed of until the Insurer has given permission, or the claim has been settled.

3. Breakage of Glass – if replacement cannot be immediately arranged, boarding up should be carried out to prevent further damage

DO NOT COMMENCE REPAIRS (OTHER THAN EMERGENCY REPAIRS) WITHOUT INSURERS PRIOR APPROVAL – FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS CONDITION MAY RESULT IN YOUR CLAIM BEING DECLINED
